Our Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your tour to Alexandria by air conditioning vehicle, where you will visit many wonderful sites of this great city. You will start your tour by the wonderful site of catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa which is a Roman Cemetery Dates back to the third century AD and consist of three levels cut through the solid rock. Then you will go to the pompy’s pillar which was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century and located at the ancient temple of Serapis. After that you will go to the citadel of Qaitbay which is one of the most important defensive strongholds along the Mediterranean Sea coast and it was an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria during the 15th century AD. This citadel was built on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then you will go to Elmontazah Palace which was built in 19^th century AD by Khedive Abbas II, and you will enjoy your time in the gardens of the palace which contain a huge selection of trees and plants and some of them are quite rare.
