Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival Cairo / Transfer to your hotel

On arrival at Cairo airport, you will find our representative is waiting for you. Then transfer to your hotel in Cairo by air conditioning vehicle. At hotel, you will be assisted with a smooth check-in, review your tour package itinerary and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2

Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Dahshur Tour / Sleeper train to Aswan

Egyptologist tour guide will Pick you up from your hotel to start the tour to the Giza pyramids by air conditioning vehicle, where you will see three pyramids of Cheops (one of the seven wonders of ancient world and the largest pyramid ever built), Chephren and Mycerinus, then you will continue your visit to see the sphinx and the valley temple which belong to king Chephren.

Then you will go to Saqqara the site of the step pyramid of king Djoser which was the first pyramid built in Egypt, and the last step of our program will be at Dahshur, there you can see the two pyramids of king Senefru, the bent pyramid, and the red pyramid which is the first true pyramid was built in Egypt. At the end of the day transfer to the rail station to board on overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

Day 3

Arrival Aswan / Transfer to your cruise and Aswan tours (High Dam, Philae Temple and Felucca ride on the Nile Tour)

Upon arrival to Aswan Railway station, you will find our representative is waiting for you. Then transfer to your Nile cruise (Check in at 11:00am), then you will visit with your guide the High Dam. The Dam which is 7 Km high is one of the biggest dams in the world. It was erected to store the waters of the flood of the Nile in Lake Nasser. You will also visit Philae or Isis Temple which is dedicated to the cow-headed goddess Hathor. The temple was started by Ptolemy III and continued by Ptolemy IV, but never completed, and you will enjoy Felucca ride on the Nile. Overnight on cruise in Aswan.

Day 4

Kom ombo Temple and Edfu Temple Tour

Breakfast on board, Sailing to Kom-ombo, to visit Kom ombo Temple with our Egyptologist tour guide. After that you will be transferred to Edfu to visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail to Luxor via Esna, Cross Esna lock, free time at leisure on Board, Afternoon tea on sun deck, Overnight in Esna.

Day 5

Temple of Karnak and Temple of Luxor

Breakfast on board, visit the Temple of Karnak which was built over 2000 years and dedicated to the Theban triad of Amon, Mut and Khonsu. In the New Kingdom period, this Temple was the most important one in Egypt. Some of the interesting structures within the complex are the gigantic hypostyle hall, statue of Ramses II, temple of Ramses III and the sacred lake. Then you will visit to the Temple of Luxor which is close to the Nile and parallel with the riverbank. King Amenhotep III who ruled Egypt from 1390 to 1353 BC built this beautiful temple and dedicated it to Amon-Re, king of the gods. Dinner on board, Disco & Music in the evening, Overnight in Luxor

Day 6

Valley of the King, Temple of Hatshepsut, colossi of Memnon

Breakfast on board, visit to the Valley of the Kings, which dates back to the period of new kingdom (BC 1550-1070). Over 60 tombs have so far been excavated in the valley inside which the ancient mummies of the royal family were discovered. Then you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut named Deir El Bahari, one of the most beautiful royal mortuary temples. After that you will visit Colossi of Memnon. In the evening you will be transferred to the rail station to board on overnight sleeper train to Cairo.

Day 7

Egyptian Museum, Citadel and Coptic Cairo Tour

Upon arrival to Cairo railway station your tour guide will pick you up and begin your tour by air conditioning vehicle with a visit to the Egyptian Museum which houses 120,000 items of ancient Egyptian artifacts, and covering 5,000 years of Egypt’s past.  Then you will go to Citadel of Salah El Din where you will see the Citadel which was built by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 12th century AD to defend Cairo against Crusaders, in the citadel you will visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali which is one of the most wonderful mosques in Egypt. the last step of our program will be at Coptic Cairo where you will see many old churches which dates back to 3rd century AD, also the whole area has been known as the holy place because it has been visited by the holy family, there you will visit the Fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church, Abu Sirga Church and Synagogue. Overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

Day 8

Alexandria day Tour (Catacombs, Pompy’s Pillar, The Roman Amphitheatre and New Library of Alexandria)

Our Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your tour to Alexandria by air conditioning vehicle, where you will visit many wonderful sites of this great city. You will start your tour by the wonderful site of Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa which is a Roman Cemetery dates back to the third century AD and consist of three levels cut through the solid rock. Then you will go to the Pompy’s Pillar which was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century and located at the ancient temple of Serapis. After that you will go to the Roman Amphitheater which is one of the most important Roman architectural achievements in Egypt, this roman amphitheater stayed in service and used to host different artistic events up till the seventh century. Then you will go to the New library of Alexandria which is a cylindrical-shaped building contains a host of museums as well as one of the modern world’s most ambitious libraries that houses more than eight million books. This library is a re-imagining of Alexandria’s ancient Great Library. After lunch you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9

Cairo – Fly Back Home

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for departure.
